Workshop One: Hormones & Cyclical Energies of the Menstrual Cycle
This foundational workshop is adapted from the updated FLOW Yoga Teacher Training – Hormonal Health & Cyclical Living and offers a rich and holistic exploration of the menstrual cycle.
You’ll be introduced to the menstrual cycle as a sacred rhythm, learning to understand what happens physically, emotionally, energetically, mentally, and spiritually throughout each phase.
What’s Included
What Is the Menstrual Cycle?
The menstrual cycle is much more than a monthly event — it’s a powerful biological rhythm that reflects a woman’s inner seasons. Each month, a complex interplay of hormones guides the body through a continuous cycle of renewal, growth, release, and rest.
We’ll also discuss what it means when a woman doesn’t experience a regular cycle – exploring conditions like amenorrhea, irregular ovulation, or anovulatory cycles – and how yoga and lifestyle awareness can help to restore natural balance and connection.
The Four Phases of the Menstrual Cycle
How to support each phase through yoga.
Learn how to live and teach in alignment with your body’s natural rhythm. This section guides you through the four phases – not just as physical changes, but as shifts that influence you energetically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually.
Through yoga, mindfulness, and self-care practices, you’ll learn how to honour each phase, allowing your practice to flow intuitively with your body’s changing needs.
Chakras and The Endocrine System
How our hormones connect with the chakras and influence our vitality.
Your hormones are powerful messengers that influence every aspect of wellbeing — from your mood and energy to your fertility and sleep. In this section, we explore the endocrine system and its intimate relationship with the chakra system, revealing how these subtle energy centres mirror the body’s hormonal functions.
Yoga & Women’s Reproductive Health
Understanding how asana, breathwork, and rest can restore balance
Here, we delve into the ways yoga can nurture women’s reproductive health across all stages of life. You’ll gain a deeper understanding of how yoga can alleviate symptoms such as menstrual pain, PMS, bloating, and fatigue, as well as ease support reproductive conditions such as PCOS and Endometriosis.
Cyclical Living
How to align your energy and teaching with the natural cycles of life and nature.
Cyclical living invites you to reconnect with the natural rhythms of life, nature, and your own body. This section explores how the cycles of the moon and the seasons reflect your inner cycles – and how aligning your yoga practice and teaching with these rhythms can bring greater ease, creativity, and balance.
An Introduction to a Woman’s Hormonal Lifecycle
From puberty to post menopause.
A woman’s hormonal landscape continuously evolves. In this section, you’ll be introduced to each major stage of a woman’s hormonal journey – from the first period, through the fertile years, to the transition of perimenopause and the wisdom of menopause and beyond.
By the end of Workshop One, you’ll have the tools and wisdom to enhance your teaching in a way that truly supports a woman’s cyclical body and inner world.
Includes a 28-hour CPD Certificate towards your total teaching and training hours.
“I can honestly say I have never felt closer to myself! I want to tell everyone I meet about the power we have within us. The power to shed and rebirth every month. Whether this is in tune with the internal cycle or that of the moon.

Workshop Two : The Hormonal Lifecycle – Puberty to Post-Menopause
For teachers ready to go deeper, Workshop Two builds on your knowledge from Workshop One, guiding you through a woman’s entire hormonal journey – from puberty to post-menopause – through the same holistic lens: physical, energetic, emotional, mental, and spiritual.
Please note Workshop Two can only be accessed if Workshop One has been completed.

Puberty and Menarche – the Transition from Girl to Woman.
Puberty marks the awakening of a girl’s inner rhythm – a profound time when her body, mind, and emotions begin to shift in preparation for womanhood. This phase is guided by a surge of hormones that initiate the first menstrual cycles and shape a young woman’s physical and emotional landscape.
In this section, we explore what puberty is, when it begins, and how it unfolds – from the hormonal changes behind menarche (the first period) to the emotional experiences that accompany it. You’ll learn how yoga can play a supportive and empowering role during this stage, helping young women
This is an invitation to reframe menarche as a celebration of potential and power – helping girls move confidently into womanhood with respect for their bodies and cycles.

The Childbearing Years
The fertile years bring another rhythm of transformation – one where a woman’s energy, focus, and hormones shift monthly to support the potential for new life. In this module, we explore how to adapt yoga during the childbearing years to support fertility, pregnancy, and beyond.
You’ll learn to view the four phases of the menstrual cycle through a new lens, understanding how mindset, movement, and rest can enhance fertility and hormonal balance. We also explore the hormones of pregnancy and how to work with the moon cycle to connect more deeply with feminine rhythms. Attention is given to pelvic floor health for strength and stability, as well as postnatal recovery, including diastasis recti and the gradual return of the menstrual cycle. This phase is about embracing the creative, nurturing energy of the feminine while honouring the body’s need for rest, renewal, and resilience.

Perimenopause, Menopause and Post Menopause
Menopause is not an ending but a powerful initiation — a transition into deeper wisdom, strength, and self-understanding. This stage invites women to slow down, listen inwardly, and embrace transformation across every layer of their being — physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual.
In this section, you’ll gain a clear understanding of the hormonal changes that occur during perimenopause, menopause, and post-menopause, and how yoga can gently support the body through symptoms such as hot flushes, insomnia, mood swings, and fatigue. You’ll explore practices that restore energy, balance the nervous system, and cultivate acceptance and renewal. This life phase connects with the autumn and winter seasons of nature — a time of letting go, reflection, and deep wisdom — reminding you that this transition, too, is cyclical and sacred.
